HBO is not TV, seemingly, which means that TV is not HBO by designation. However that slogan works or doesn’t work (and we could perhaps go a few rounds over that one), the one thing that TV certainly is (at the very least these days) is SMART.
The standard tv, seemingly saddened at being derided like the ‘idiot box’ for this long, has finally categorical to ‘wise up’. In short, a smart Television can now carry out many of the same functions as a computer or tablet pc, which is superb when you have people over and want to watch ‘The Best of Failblog’ on Youtube.
In addition to housing any quantity of downloadable applications that include fully interactive versions of Netflix, FB and numerous, many others, the smart Television also allows the viewer to browse the net, just as they might on an iPad.
Get this, Samsung’s new 22 inch Smart Television will even wisely learn what you want to watch and propose related programmes, it will then automatically search through live broadcasts and make a selection of suggestions for you. I swear I’m not making this up. I mean, I always guessed Television could do more to pull its weight, but a TV that takes the effort out of channel browsing!? I in no way thought I’d see the day.
The Samsung 22 inch smart TV can be the one smart Television with the full catch-up service, a service that includes BBC iPlayer, ITV player, Demand 5 and 4OD, meaning that you’ll never miss out on your favourite events yet again (unless you, like me, frequently forget to watch them after which iPlayer deletes them…The Television may be smarter now, but I am still just as dim, sadly).
You can too wirelessly link connecting your smart phone and tablet PC, enabling you to view whatever’s on your little screen, by transferring it to a big screen. I could go on all day with the sheer amount of awesome things this Television does, but it appears odd to write about a cool product if i could, in reality, be actively using it.
Hooking an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 up to this display is pure pleasure, however the fun doesn’t end here; the Samsung 22 inch LED TV also features a crystal clear, full High definition 1080p widescreen, which will craft an amazing cinematic experience when hooked up to the Bluray player with a 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound system. You will be the envy of the neighbourhood. Unless they own a racing car, that is.
Oh yeah, these have built-in games. Did I mention that?
